What is woman?
I have spent a lot of time thinking about this idea, studying about this idea, praying about this idea, learning about this idea.
I looked back at Eve; I poured through the Text.
I had this sense that Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie, and Scarlett Johanson (as talented, beautiful, etc. etc. as they all may be) where not the images of Feminity God created us to be--even if our culture should demand so.
I think God had/has something else in mind.
Women should rock. Just because we are Christians or don't have sex should NOT mean that we are boring. In fact, being a woman of God is a super-rare phenomenon today, and those that grow under God's love are truly beautiful--oftentimes even to the world.
So I developed this (really these three) idea(s) that I think really help me stay focused and grow in to the women God has made me to be.
These three are: Passion. Purity And Strength.
Each of these virtues are certainly supported in the Biblical stories concerning women. But I also looked around me and began studying the characteristics of the women I respected--the women leading full, joyous, Good livees. And these three were such strong parts of their character.
For me, something simple and consice like 3 words (or the acronymn PPS) really helps me to remember what a woman of God is as I make decisions.
I hope to really dive in to each of the three in a bit more detail, so keep checking back for more!
